Picture
As part of our Annual Guild Quilt Show we have a Silent Auction
of donated mini quilts, made by our members. The proceeds of
this auction are donated to the Center for Safety and
Empowerment YWCA, formerly known as the
Battered Women's Task Force.

Quilts of Valor ---

Quilts of Valor is a non-profit national foundation whose mission is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.  A Quilt of Valor is to be large enough to cover an average size adult, with the ideal size approximately 60” X 80.”  Finished size can be no smaller than 55” X 65” or larger than 72” X 90, and it should be hand or machine quilted.  Contact person is Jean McDonald.

Doorstep Food Bank ---

Doorstep helps people survive crises, improve their way of life and become self-sufficient.  A basket is passed around at each meeting for members to contribute to Doorstep.  Periodically, the person in charge of Community Relations goes shopping with this money to buy items for Doorstep.

Baby Quilts ---

Members are encouraged to make baby quilts of any size which are given to local hospitals, mortuaries and the Ronald McDonald House.  Marilyn Meyer is our volunteer coordinator who collects and distributes the quilts, and keeps track of our quilt donations.
