2017 will be an “International” challenge and transition in World Politics and Policies. I am challenging our quilt guild to a fabric/word challenge using your creativity and artistic abilities. Our goal is to create a wall hanging, table runner, pillow or small lap quilt using Words from the following Categories. Your project will create a story or description to go along with the project. Each person’s words will be different. We will use 5 words in the categories below. 1. A color 2. An emotion or feeling 3. A thing (plants, animals, people etc) 4. A place 5. Something diverse (foods, nationality, race, sexual orientation, language, etc.) This challenge is to be of your own design, drawing from your inner beliefs/emotions/concerns. Any type or style of fabric use is appropriate. Embellishments and modern designs are encouraged. The “words” you choose may be a part of the project or simply a picture of the words. We are all artists and designers of our own lives. I look forward to learning more about each person in our guild!
